Positioning vs perception
You might have a clear idea of how you want your brand to be perceived. What you stand for, how you are different, where you sit in the market, etc. But if you asked ten people outside your business to describe you, or place you next to your competitors, would they say the same thing?
In most cases, they wouldn’t. And it is in that gap the most valuable insight are found!
I went off-grid
I feel like I’ve been banging my head against the ceiling. For the last six months or so, I’ve been moving papers from one side of the desk to another. Making plans and strategies to feel like I’ve accomplished something, but never really following through. Invisible restraints (e.g. fear) held me back, and it wasn’t until I booked the plane tickets the knots loosened.
